Welcome to the Vets Pets Weekly Update!
We’re excited to bring you the latest news, updates, and stories from across our North Carolina veterinary practices. Each week, we’ll share important announcements, highlight achievements, and sprinkle some fun along the way.
Your work makes a difference every day, and we want to celebrate you. If you have news or stories to share, please let us know by responding to any of these emails or reaching out to marketing@thevetspets.com.

On February 27th, more than 100 leaders from our practices gathered at the Raleigh Convention Center for our annual Leadership Summit. Our goal: to connect, learn, and grow as a system.
Take a look at the highlights from this inspiring day.

Paylocity Updates
We hope everyone has had a smooth onboarding experience with Paylocity so far. We’re excited about the improvements this system will bring and the additional features we will roll out throughout the year. Here are a few important updates for this week:
W2 and Past Pay Statements:
- If you signed up for electronic W2s, be sure to download them within the next month.
- If you want to keep past pay statements from Proliant, export within the next month as well.
- Proliant access will be phased out in mid-April, and all data will no longer be accessible.
Bi-weekly Pay Schedule:
- We are switching to a bi-weekly pay schedule. You can view the payroll calendar here.
- This change results in additional pay periods per year.
- Hourly employees: The work week for overtime calculation remains Sunday at midnight through Saturday at midnight.
- Salaried employees: Your annual salary remains the same. Individual paychecks will be less and more frequent. We will send a communication when per paycheck amounts are updated in your Paylocity profile.
ACT Employee Training:
- Employee training has been launched in ACT.
- Training includes an overview of basic system features and clocking instructions.

At Vets Pets, we’re committed to education, mentorship, and collaboration. In recent weeks, our team has been active in meetings and events to teach, grow, and inspire. Whether sharing expertise, mentoring future leaders, or advancing the industry, we’re dedicated to supporting veterinary professionals and the pets they serve.

The veterinary profession offers both challenges and rewards. It’s crucial to pause regularly and acknowledge the positive experiences within your hospitals. We will start sharing a review each week from around the company. If you have a review you’d like to share, please respond to this email or reach out to marketing@thevetspets.com.
This week’s review acknowledges Dr. Palgrave and the team at New Light Animal Hospital. Well done!
“First time visit here after our long time vet left the practice we were going to. Couldn’t be happier. Everything was very clean and everyone was super nice. We saw Dr. Palgrave and she was so kind. I think we have definitely found our new vet home.”
