The Urine Must Flow: Frustrating Feline Urethral Obstructions
Feline lower urinary tract disease and urethral obstructions are common emergencies in general and emergency practices. During this presentation, we will discuss the diagnosis and treatment of both critical and “stable” blocked cats, give helpful tips and tricks for difficult urinary catheterizations, and explore common and uncommon complications. In addition, we will briefly wade into the evidence for different short—and long-term management strategies to try to minimize the recurrence of this ever-frustrating feline problem.
