Wilson, NC (July 16, 2020)Vets Pets, a North Carolina veterinary hospital network, announced the highly-anticipated opening of Healing Paws Veterinary Hospital’s new modern and spacious facility located in Hillsborough at 540 Hampton Pointe Boulevard. Planning for the new building started over 3 years ago due to quick growth in the first two years of operation. The new facility was designed to advance the onsite client and team experience, add space for new and more specialized medical and surgical services and to better support the community animal health needs of Hillsborough and surrounding areas.

“Healing Paws Veterinary Hospital was our first co-ownership partnership with veterinarians and we’re extremely proud and impressed with what our team accomplished in only five years,” said Steve Thomas, CEO of Vets Pets. “It has been highly rewarding to be a part of the team to create this new practice and now expand into our own new home. We hope this new facility will enable us to continue to meet and exceed our high expectations of what we can accomplish.”

Healing Paws Veterinary Hospital was started by two veterinarians, Drs. Mari McLean and Eva Welch, who are not just business partners – they are also sisters. Since opening their doors in 2015, they’ve hired three more veterinarians.

“We are honored to serve such a wonderful community,” said Dr. Eva Welch, DVM, Healing Paws Veterinary Hospital. “Our clients have been supportive and excited about our growth, and we can’t wait for them to visit our new home.”

The talented team of veterinarians and staff primarily care for cats and dogs but also treat exotics and reptiles. The larger facility and additional equipment will allow them to expand their medical services in a more comfortable and personalized setting.

The hours of operation will remain 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
