Here we grow again! Vets Pets and Points East Veterinary Group are excited to open Points East Veterinary Specialty Hospital of Wilmington in Fall 2026. The hospital will add 24/7 emergency and specialty care to the Cape Fear region, led by Dr. Melissa Stoll and Paige Harrington, DVM.

Vets Pets Earns Fast 50
Recognition

Each year, the Triangle Business Journal highlights the 50 fastest-growing private companies in the region that create jobs, push boundaries and enter new markets.

Vets Pets was thrilled to be ranked #24 in the 2025 Fast 50 Awards. Winners were recognized at TBJ’s Fast 50 Awards reception ceremony in Raleigh, where Matt Mumpower proudly represented Vets Pets.

Regulatory Compliance and Diversion Prevention in Veterinary Medicine

This 2-hour CE presentation provides an overview of opioid use disorder and its impact on veterinary healthcare. Participants will learn to recognize potential warning signs of substance abuse among staff, clients, or colleagues. Additionally, the session will review federal and state regulations related to controlled substances, with a focus on best practices for preventing diversion within veterinary practices. Practical guidance will be provided on recordkeeping, monitoring, and implementing safeguards to ensure compliance and protect patients, staff, and the community.
