The Vets Pets Team
Officer Chickel’s Last Walk
This past week, the Points East Veterinary Specialty Hospital team gathered to bid a heartfelt farewell to retired Officer Chickel, a loyal and beloved K9 who had served with distinction. Chickel’s handlers, Allison—a dedicated member of our Points East team—and her husband, an esteemed member of the Air Force, were by his side throughout his career.
Officer Chickel’s service took him to South Korea, contributing to numerous successful missions and fostering strong bonds with his team. His exceptional skills and unwavering dedication were a testament to the profound bond between humans and their canine partners.
Chickel was more than just a service dog; he was a beloved member of our extended family. His regular visits to Points East never failed to brighten their days, reminding us of the incredible work service animals do. His presence was a constant source of joy and warmth.
As we said our goodbyes, we reflected on the countless lives Chickel touched and the legacy he left behind. All who had the privilege of knowing him will deeply miss his courage, loyalty, and gentle nature.

This week’s review acknowledges the Wilson Veterinary Hospital team. Well done!
The people here CARE about my fur baby! For medical, grooming and boarding this place is our go-to and we always have a great experience. They’re knowledgeable and helpful! Even when my girl had the worst double ear infection- they were so helpful and compassionate. True experts, I only trust them with my fur family!
