Our Purr-fect Pace challenge kicked off September 1st. It is not too late to lace up your sneakers and join your team to make the most of this opportunity to boost our health. Here are a few things that have created momentum within our teams:

  • Team members challenging their own personal records
  • Groups taking walks together before and after work
  • Weekend walk meetups

How is your team maxing out the Purr-fect pace challenge?

Attending national conferences like the International Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Symposium (IVECCS) is key for us at Vets Pets. This year, our team traveled to St. Louis, and it was a fantastic opportunity to stay current on the latest trends and techniques in emergency and critical care. These events are all about learning, connecting with peers, building new relationships with others passionate about veterinary medicine, and bringing fresh ideas back home. Our time at IVECCS ultimately helped us continue delivering the best care possible for our patients and clients.

ECG Fundamentals: Understanding the Essentials of Electrocardiography

This presentation is designed as an introduction to the essential concepts needed to understand and interpret ECGs in veterinary medicine. It will cover basic cardiac anatomy and physiology, ECG equipment and lead placement, components of the ECG waveform, ECG intervals and segments, rate and rhythm calculations, and common ECG patterns seen in veterinary medicine. By the end of this presentation, veterinary professionals will have the knowledge to read and interpret multiple common ECG patterns, which will ultimately lead to better patient care and improved patient outcomes.

The veterinary profession offers both challenges and rewards. It’s crucial to pause regularly and acknowledge the positive experiences within your hospitals. We will start sharing a review each week from around the company. If you have a review you’d like to share, please respond to this email or reach out to marketing@thevetspets.com.

This week’s review acknowledges the team at Holly Springs Veterinary Hospital. Well done!

Absolutely love this vet office! We have been with them for the past ten years and have had nothing but great experiences. The office staff is always pleasant and helpful even when I call in last minute for my dog’s medicine refill. They have always fit us in for an appointment when needed and take their time with us. I took our old lady today for her yearly and shot update. They spent plenty of time with us and really discussed options about my dogs seizure medicine with me. The estimate they gave me was spot on and no pressure to add additional tests. A few months back my other dog was acting hurt and they found where he had a back injury. They checked in the next day to see how the meds were working and everything.

We so appreciate having a vet’s office that loves our puppers like we do!
