Meet Cash! Cash’s journey at Zebulon Animal Hospital was nothing short of miraculous. Initially presented with symptoms suggesting a foreign body, the team was gearing up for exploratory surgery. However, a sudden turn of events revealed strong symptoms of Parvovirus.

Despite Cash’s mature age and previous vaccination history, Dr. Rose and the Zebulon team postponed the surgery and tested for Parvovirus. When Cash tested positive, Dr. Rose opted for Parvovirus MAB, a treatment she hadn’t used before and didn’t have on hand. Dr. Rose contacted her Field Operations Director, Laura Baratta, to help secure the medication.

Laura’s swift action ensured Cash received his first dose of the much-needed medication by 6:25 p.m. on Thursday. Her dedication and efficient coordination enabled her to deliver the medication within hours, a testament to her commitment to providing the best support possible.

Over the next 36 hours, Cash made an astonishing recovery. His discharge from the hospital saw him back to his lively self, eating and drinking normally. This success story underscores the importance of collaboration and highlights the invaluable support network provided by sister hospitals like Wilson Veterinary Hospital and Points East Veterinary Specialty Hospital. It truly takes a village!

Kudos to Laura Baratta, Dr. Rose, Zebulon, Wilson Vet, and the Points East Wilson teams. If you have a success story you’d like to share, please email Marketing@thevetspets.com.
