The Vets Pets “Purr-fect Pace Challenge” took place during the entire month of September, encouraging participants to focus on health and fitness by walking, running, or biking. Participants tracked their miles using the Map My Fitness app and competed individually or with their pets and colleagues.

The top performers, noted below won individual prizes:

• REI Gift Card: Keeleigh Cain, Wilson Veterinary Hospital
• Bose Speakers: Kristina Deak, LaCroix Veterinary Hospital
• Vets Pets Yeti Cup: Michelle Mayakis, Rolesville Veterinary Hospital

The following teams with the highest average miles logged per hospital won the following:

• 1st – Office Barbecue with Grillmaster Steve Thomas: LaCroix Veterinary Hospital
• 2nd – Gift Card for the Team to Enjoy Lunch Outside: Oak Heart Veterinary Hospital at Person St.
