It’s Open Enrollment Time at Vets Pets!

Open Enrollment is just around the corner, kicking off Monday, November 11, and ending Monday, November 25! This is your once-a-year opportunity to review, select, or change your benefits for the upcoming year. At Vets Pets, we’re committed to ensuring our team has access to competitive, high-quality benefits to support your health, wellness, and peace of mind. We have attached updated 2025 benefit guides for our veterinarians and support staff.

Highlights for 2025

We’ve made the following updates to our benefits for this year:

  1. Spring Health
    • Comprehensive Mental Health solution + EAP! Spring Health will be offered at no cost for all medically enrolled employees and their household family members. (HealthAdvocate EAP remains available for those who waive our company health plans as well as part-time employees).
    • Provides personalized, convenient mental health care and resources to support you and your family.
    • Access to a Care Navigator and six free therapy + six free coaching sessions per year.
    • Here is a link to a quick video to learn more: https://vetspets.springhealth.com (scroll down to “How Spring Health Works”).
  2. Employee Costs
    • Our medical & dental plans have a modest premium increase this year.
    • All other plan costs remain unchanged. (unless you’ve experienced an earnings change or moved to a new age band over the last year).
    • Over the past five years, Vets Pets has absorbed all benefit cost increases, and while we will still take on the majority of the cost, our adjustments help ensure we can keep offering the richest benefits possible.
  3. Wellness Program
    • Congratulations to those who completed your wellness initiatives during the 2024 Program year!
    • Our health plan now designates “Wellness” and “Non-Wellness” rates based on completion.
  4. Dependent Care FSA – discontinued for 2025 due to lack of participation

Our HR team will hold three virtual sessions, which you can join to discuss your options and receive assistance. Our HR Benefits Team will send calendar links for your convenience.

  • November 12, at 6:00 p.m.
  • November 13, at 12:00 p.m.
  • November 21, at 1:00 p.m.

Enrollment is easy and convenient. All eligible employees must complete the enrollment process, whether you are confirming your current benefits, changing your benefits, or waiving coverage. On Monday, November 11, an email with links to log in/enroll will be sent directly from our enrollment platform. Thank you, and we look forward to a successful benefits enrollment!

On Monday, October 28th, LaCroix Veterinary Hospital celebrated their top team performance in the “Purr-fect Pace Challenge” with a well-deserved office barbecue. Grillmaster Steve Thomas joined the festivities, serving up a delicious meal. There was also a special appearance by Dr. Vee Ringer!

This special event recognized the commitment to wellness and teamwork, offering a fun and relaxing break to enjoy good food and great company. Congratulations to LaCroix Veterinary Hospital for their dedication and outstanding achievement!

Vets Pets proudly sponsored the North Carolina Veterinary Conference (NCVC) from November 1-3, where our team reunited with friends and colleagues. The conference provided a chance to reconnect, share experiences, and strengthen bonds with inspiring peers in the veterinary field. Team members also gained new insights to bring back to our practices.

Here’s to growth, learning, and community!

The veterinary profession offers both challenges and rewards. It’s crucial to pause regularly and acknowledge the positive experiences within your hospitals. We will start sharing a review each week from around the company. If you have a review you’d like to share, please respond to this email or reach out to marketing@thevetspets.com.

This week’s review acknowledges Dr. Foca and the team at Wendell Animal Hospital. Well done!

I have been bringing my anxious rat terrier mix here for over 2 years now, and now our puppy. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Foca and the whole staff! Anytime I’ve called and needed to get in soon, they will do their best to find something that works with your schedule. Their prices seem very fair. I haven’t had an experience where I felt they tried to upcharge on things my dogs may not need. They all care about your pets as you do. They are professional, kind, and take the time to explain anything you have questions about. I would recommend them to anyone that is looking for a new vet!
