Our Story

Dr. Sonja Szymeczek, DVM, MSpVM, Diplomate ACVS (2004) joined Vets Pets in June 2015 to open Points East Veterinary Specialty Hospital. Points East VSH is the only specialty hospital east of Raleigh. In four years, we have grown into a busy practice with a referring community requesting IM services. Our growth, along with the community’s demand for additional services, has led to our commitment to facility renovations and expansion of our emergency services to 24/7/365. Our well-established after-hours emergency hospital has a seasoned team embracing referral specialty patient and client care. The cases are coming and the IM service is ready to launch.
